OUR MISSION:
Our
mission is to improve and enhance the lives of people who are differently-abled and their families, and to better the quality of each of our lives by fostering the acceptance, understanding and celebration of diversity.
We will accomplish this mission in two ways:
1) By establishing Cafe Inclusion, a social enterprise providing hands-on culinary training and employment opportunities to those with developmental and physical disabilities.
2) By building Our Place, an interactive museum where children of all abilities can come together through interactive, education play.
Both programs will provide all members of the community, and beyond, opportunities to learn and grow through educational programs, workshops, and events.
OUR VISION:
Our vision is to create an environment where we all experience a sense of belonging and acceptance, regardless of individual ability and to see our communities strengthened by promoting inclusion for all.
OUR SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Find a Way Foundation of California, Inc., a non-profit (501(c)(3) organization incorporated in 2006, was created to give children and adults who are differently-abled and their families the semblance of normalcy so often lacking in their daily lives as they cope with the challenges of living with a disability.
Through our programs, Find a Way will offer people throughout the community the resources to reconnect with themselves and the world at large. The impact of this support will be recognized through: improved mental and emotional health; increased quality of life; and better relationships with one another as we celebrate the differences that make each of us unique. |
