CHILDREN'S MUSEUM IDEA SEEKS VOTES:
Brentwood resident Steffany Lohn is on a mission to establish an interactive museum for all children, regardless of their limitations. "This museum would enable children with disabilities to play side by side with their typically developing peers to promote inclusion and foster the strong physical, social and emotional skills all children need to achieve their full potential," she said.

Lohn embarked on the project for her young son, who is autistic. She envisions the museum providing an interactive, educational environment for children with special needs.

Through her Find a Way Foundation, Lohn is looking for the community's support. Her museum was chosen as one of the top 50 projects in an American Express contest called the Members Project.

Those with an American Express card can register at http://www.membersproject.com and vote for her project, which is called Interactive Museum for Children of All Abilities. The deadline is July 15.

American Express will donate $1 for every card member who registers. The next round of 25 projects will be determined by the number of votes.
